Role and Responsibilities
- Support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restoration of different environments.
- Collaborate with software product development, architecture, and IT teams to ensure releases are delivered with repeatable and auditable processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments.
- Guide the evolution of our cloud infrastructure.
- Work closely with product teams to find the right trade-off between business-specific needs and state-of-the-art CI/CD practices.
- Execute and automate operational processes quickly, accurately, and securely.
- Provide solutions to increase visualization, reduce errors, and improve customer experience.
- Be the point of escalation for troubleshooting and remediating AWS cloud issues.
- Improve the availability, scalability, and performance of the cloud environments.
- Identify security vulnerabilities in Kubernetes infrastructure, for example Docker image scanning , k8s cluster scanning, YAML file scanning, etc.
- Develop and enhance monitoring capabilities with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Datadog, or Splunk.
Skills and Experience
- At least 6 years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Kubernetes, like writing helm charts, automating deployment through Jenkins, optimizing Dockerfiles/images, etc.
- Hands-on experience in implementing automation systems using Ansible, Shell, Python, etc.
- Expertise in CI/CD workflow by creating CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins declarative pipelines.
- Expertise in version control systems like Git and Subversion.
- Hands-on experience with AWS environments like EKS, EC2, IAM, S3, etc.
