Role and Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, development, testing, roll-out, and support.
- Solve complex business problems by utilizing a disciplined development methodology.
- Produce scalable, flexible, efficient, and supportable solutions using appropriate technologies.
- Analyze source and target system data. Map the transformation that meets the requirement.
- Interact with clients and onsite teams during different phases of a project.
- Conduct performance tuning of BigQuery SQL scripts.
- Deliver artifacts such as scripts (Python) and dataflow components.
Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in developing large-scale Big Data applications.
- Expertise in GCP, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, and Looker.
- Good knowledge of Big Data query tools and SQL.
- Hands-on experience in distributed systems and handling large amounts of data.
- Thorough knowledge of performance and application testing, and scheduling tools.
- Good understanding of databases like Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), NoSQL, etc.
- Prior experience of working with an Agile/Scrum model.
- Easy with testing practices, processes, and artifact creation.
- Experience in data integration from multiple data sources.
- Thorough understanding of various ETL techniques and frameworks.
- Industry experience building production-ready data pipelines using Dataflow.
- Expertise in working with complex SQL datasets and building SQL scripts using BigQuery Syntax.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
