Role and Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, development, testing, roll-out, and support. 
  • Solve complex business problems by utilizing a disciplined development methodology. 
  • Produce scalable, flexible, efficient, and supportable solutions using appropriate technologies. 
  • Analyze source and target system data. Map the transformation that meets the requirement. 
  • Interact with clients and onsite teams during different phases of a project. 
  • Conduct performance tuning of BigQuery SQL scripts.
  • Deliver artifacts such as scripts (Python) and dataflow components.
Skills and Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing large-scale Big Data applications.
  • Expertise in GCP, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, and Looker.
  • Good knowledge of Big Data query tools and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience in distributed systems and handling large amounts of data.
  • Thorough knowledge of performance and application testing, and scheduling tools.
  • Good understanding of databases like Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), NoSQL, etc.
  • Prior experience of working with an Agile/Scrum model.
  • Easy with testing practices, processes, and artifact creation.
  • Experience in data integration from multiple data sources.
  • Thorough understanding of various ETL techniques and frameworks.
  • Industry experience building production-ready data pipelines using Dataflow.
  • Expertise in working with complex SQL datasets and building SQL scripts using BigQuery Syntax.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
