Role and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and document test changes in microservices-based applications.
- Initiate design reviews for new applications while adhering to software development standards.
- Perform cross-functional training and facilitate information sharing among the team members.
- Recommend new software development technologies and development processes.
- Perform unit testing on all application functionalities and support integration and load-testing activities.
- Collaborate with the team members to ensure that the deliverables are on schedule.
- Participate in requirement gathering and functional specification activities. Assist system analysts in translating business requirements and functional designs into technical designs.
- Resolve and mitigate production application issues.
- Monitor and trace tools like Splunk, SignalFx, and New Relic.
- Design and implement distributed, highly scalable, and resilient web applications in microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful services using Java language on Spring Boot framework.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in the Supply Chain domain, like warehouse management, warehouse automation, warehouse execution, and transportation management is mandatory.
- Good understanding of implementing or integrating enterprise scale packages like SAP S4, IBM Sterling, Manhattan WMS, Track Management System, etc.
- Hands-on with AWS DevOps and prior experience in Fargate or Kubernetes is desirable.
- Expertise in Apache Kafka or other enterprise streaming platforms would be an advantage.
- Prior experience with NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB and relational data stores like MySQL or Oracle is preferred.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests is desirable.
