Role and Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy OpenShift enterprise master hosts and node hosts.
- Deploy OpenShift enterprise authentication and conduct implementation and support.
- Develop and maintain the operational conditions of Kubernetes orchestration container platforms like Infra Docker and OpenShift.
- Identify and manage action plans to optimize consumption, cost, evolution of clusters, and the environment.
- Assist applications during changes, migration, building images, and developing topology.
- Troubleshoot and conduct root-cause analysis of cluster-related issues. Assist the development team in resolving the issues.
- Monitor system events to ensure health, maximum system availability, and service quality.
- Assist in platform upgrades and certificate management.
- Manage container image repositories to support Linux Containers.
- Automate the creation of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) infrastructure using industry-standard tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
- Implement adequate monitoring and alerting functionality on the platforms.
- Resolve incidents affecting the OpenShift API and cloud platform.
- Effortlessly communicate courteously and effectively with customers, third-party vendors, and Red Hat associates.
Skills and Experience
- The incumbent should be open for a night shift on a rotation basis.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform is mandatory.
- Must have experience with cluster maintenance and administration on OpenShift and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Unix operating system is desirable.
- Should be good at hosting applications or large-scale application deployments.
- Must have any scripting knowledge using Shell, Python, etc.
- Should have basic knowledge of the CI/CD process.
- Good knowledge of support systems and tools would be an advantage.
- Must have good analysis and debugging skills
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) knowledge will add to your advantage
