Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure data modeling and successful transfer of data to HANA.
- Solve complex business problems by utilizing a disciplined development methodology.
- Understand functional specifications and convert them into technical designs and specifications.
- Create new stored procedures for HANA and convert the existing stored procedures from SQL database (DB) to HANA DB.
- Define the metadata import process.
- Identify attribute, measures, and hierarchies.
- Design and create HANA Calculation Views.
- Manage attribute mapping.
- Design or create BODS (SAP BO Data Services) ETL jobs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BODS data load failures.
- Organize project activities to ensure on-time delivery of projects.
- Prepare and manage project documentation: technical design and technical specification.
Skills and Experience
- Must have a BA/BS or equivalent degree. MBA is desirable.
- 3+ years of experience in modeling native HANA.
- Prior experience in system implementations in a cross-functional environment is desirable.
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project).
- Ability to use HANA Studio to create Attribute, Analytic, and Calculation Views using GUI or SQLScript.
- Must be able to articulate and successfully implement proposed solutions.
- Must be calm and composed at all times to make sound and business-efficient decisions under time constraints.
- Ensure adherence to schedule and workplans.
- Should have excellent team player skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
