Role and Responsibilities
- Develop partnerships and work closely with business team members to understand and document usability requirements daily through storyboards, wireframes, and user interface specifications.
- Work with a cross-functional team to plan product releases.
- Proactively maintain a backlog (epic/features/user stories) that reflects priorities and has enough ready items for development.
- Conduct backlog grooming and refinement once in 2 weeks considering scope vs. cost vs. schedule decisions.
- Act as a point-of-contact for the India offshore team for all product related queries.
- Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Own the final authority on work priorities, business values, and product functionalities.
- Collaborate daily with the delivery team and resolve product questions expeditiously.
- Create integration context diagrams and associated systems process models for better clarity.
- Work efficiently in an Agile environment, regularly review the completed items of the sprint, and check with the business to ensure it meets expectations.
- Track product features and performance metrics to ensure that the product meets or exceeds the targets, and pivot the product roadmap direction as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent degree (BE/BTech/MCA/MTech).
- 12+ years of industry experience.
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Expertise in Travel Domain that include Air Ticketing, Hotel Booking, Car Rental Services, GDS, and Sabre CSL.
- Make strategic business decisions using product data.
- Must have exceptional interpersonal, communication (spoken and written), and presentation skills.
- Prior experience in Jira, creating user stories, defining and managing backlog items is preferred.
- Deep understanding and experience with Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) are desirable.
