Role and Responsibilities
- Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) during the development of solutions or applications.
- Collaborate and develop website content strategies that encompass the client’s goals.
- Take complete ownership and ensure prompt delivery of the assigned projects in top quality.
- Establish a strong relationship with the client, manage change requests and scope creep, track daily activities of the team, and provide direction and guidance as required.
- Design, develop, and deploy standardized metrics and dashboards to ensure timely delivery of projects or tracks.
- Monitor project baseline to ensure a planned progress of activities.
- Participate in all agile ceremonies like sprint grooming, planning, retrospective, etc.
- Identify productivity and incorporate quality process improvements.
- Guide the team in technical and domain aspects.
- Publish status reports with metrics for the internal and external stakeholders.
- Define best practices and ensure that the team maintains a high level of competence and operational excellence.
- Identify gaps, offer process and action plans, and track them to closure.
- Define, follow, and perform the best practices for code review.
- Proactively identify risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
- Identify business problems and provide solutions and frameworks.
- Generate and execute the onboarding process, training, knowledge transfers, and skill-building plans.
- Assist in hiring the right talent for the team.
- Participate in pre-sales activities of like proposals, proof of concepts (POCs), etc.
- Motivate and mentor the team members.
- Handle appraisals and retention processes.
- Encourage and guide the team members to write white papers, blogs, and case studies.
- Publish project status and presentations for the client and internal stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- 12+ years of experience in web content management systems like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), WebCenter Sites (WCS), Drupal, or equivalent. Candidates with CMS certification would have an advantage.
- Experience in digital asset management (DAM) tools like AEM, censhare, etc.
- Should have a good understanding of agile execution methodology.
- Hands-on experience in Java, REST services, and Java Content Repository (JCR).
- Proven experience in managing the delivery of WCM and DAM applications with medium to large teams.
- Experience in managing 40+ resources in a single account or multiple accounts.
- Excellent understanding of industry-proven design patterns and UI frameworks like JavaScript, jQuery, or Ajax.
- Prior experience in pre-sales activities like working on requests for proposals (RFPs) / requests for information (RFI), POCs, and drive proposals.
- Experience in defining end-to-end solution architecture covering technical deployment architectures, and non-functional and performance aspects are desirable.
- Must have hands-on experience in using version control and CI/CD tools like SVN, GIT, Jenkins, Cucumber, or Hudson.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms (like GCP, AWS), configuring and performance-tuning of web CMS, integration technologies, and API management is desirable.
- Expertise in implementing test-driven development, domain-driven design, and clean code principles.
- Must have a good experience of working in a cross-functional matrix organization with client stakeholders, offshore development team, senior management, and multiple onsite teams.
- Good knowledge of using estimation techniques like Use-Case Points, Function Points, or Story Points.
- Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with exceptional presentation skills.
