GSPANN seeks a talented and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and drive our cloud-based data engineering projects within our Information Analytics Practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of cloud-based data technologies, and a passion for delivering high-impact data solutions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex data analytics projects, ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their data needs, translate requirements into actionable project plans, and provide regular updates and insights on project progress.
- Build and lead project teams consisting of data engineers, data analysts, and other relevant experts.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Leverage expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to design, implement, and optimize data engineering solutions, including data ingestion, storage, and transformation processes.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues that may impact project timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure the highest quality of project deliverables by implementing best practices in data engineering and analytics and conducting thorough testing and validation.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, technical documentation, and client communications.
- Manage project budgets and resources effectively, monitoring expenses and resource allocation to ensure optimal project performance.
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in data analytics or data engineering projects.
- Strong background in cloud-based data engineering, with expertise in platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or scrum master certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, streaming analytics, etc.) is advantageous.
