Role and Responsibilities
- Utilize Jenkins (Java Enterprise Edition) extensively to build CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines for containerized applications developed with Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement branching models and modularize code effectively to handle deployments across multiple environments.
- Write and optimize Docker files and Docker Compose files extensively to streamline application deployments.
- Leverage strong skills in Bash and Python scripting to automate tasks as part of the application build and release process.
- Dockerize applications by adhering to industry best practices and standards.
- Develop shared libraries to enhance Jenkins declarative pipelines.
- Integrate tools such as JUnit for automated unit testing, SonarQube for code quality analysis, and JFrog Artifactory for artifact management within CI/CD workflows.
- Demonstrate robust proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Linux operating systems.
Skills and Experience
- Bring over 8 years of experience in build and release management, CI/CD implementation, and DevOps practices.
- Deploy applications on AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) using Helm charts for efficient container orchestration.
- Set up and troubleshoot Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with precision and reliability.
- Integrate and resolve issues with tools like SonarQube and Black Duck for SAST (Static Application Security Testing).
- Apply hands-on experience with JFrog Artifactory for artifact storage and management.
- Utilize Git or Bitbucket for version control and collaboration.
- Work extensively with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
- Employ monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana for system performance tracking.
- Enhance CI/CD pipeline security through best practices and robust configurations.
- Script in Bash and Groovy to automate and optimize processes within CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage Docker Cloud configurations seamlessly within Jenkins.
- Operate Azure Cloud services proficiently, with expertise in AZCLI (Azure Command-Line Interface).
