GSPANN is hiring a Lead Network Engineer with 8+ years of experience to manage and optimize network infrastructure in Hyderabad. The role involves leading a team, configuring L2/L3 switches, SD-WAN, and firewalls, and utilizing automation tools like Python and Ansible. Role and Responsibilities
- Mentor and lead a team of network engineers, providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and professional growth.
- Develop, implement, and maintain network architecture strategies that align with business objectives.
- Apply hands-on experience in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Layer 2/Layer 3 (L2/L3) switches, Access Control List (ACL) management, and Quality of Service (QoS) policies, including firmware upgrades.
- Configure and troubleshoot Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) gateways, firewalls, and load balancers, particularly with expertise in Palo Alto Panorama.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), and wireless infrastructure, including Wireless Access Points (WAPs) and controllers, with a focus on high-availability solutions.
- Oversee network automation projects, utilizing scripting languages such as Python and Ansible to improve network performance and reduce manual intervention.
- Lead Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), managing and configuring Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones (Certification preferred).
- Utilize expertise in network monitoring tools like SolarWinds (Network Performance Monitor, Network Configuration Manager, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer, Network Automation Manager) to oversee and automate network operations.
- Manage Asset, Change, and Incident Management in alignment with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices.
- Coordinate field dispatch and lead network transitions for new deployments and upgrades.
- Monitor Internet Service Provider (ISP) performance and infrastructure, managing incidents from logging to resolution, including triage and escalation.
- Implement and enforce security policies, conducting vulnerability assessments and patch management for all network devices.
- Maintain network backup configurations and lead disaster recovery planning efforts.
- Define and update operational documentation for all network systems and procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Bring over 8 years of network engineering experience, including 3+ years in leadership or senior roles.
- Possesses strong expertise in Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN), firewalls, and load-balancing technologies.
- Have experience with network automation tools such as Python and Ansible, particularly in large-scale network deployments.
- Hold a deep understanding of Information Technology (IT) security principles including firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), zero-trust networking, and compliance frameworks such as Service Organization Control (SOC), Payment Card Industry (PCI), and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Preferred certifications include Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), and Aruba Certified Switching Professional/Certified ClearPass Professional (ACSP/ACCP). Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an added advantage.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
