Role and Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine learning systems that solve challenging business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders, to define project objectives, gather requirements, and design machine learning solutions.
- Pre-process and clean datasets, design, and train machine learning models to make predictions or improve decision-making processes.
- Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and validation techniques, making necessary improvements iteratively.
- Implement models into production environments and maintain their performance, monitoring and addressing issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with software engineers to develop user-friendly and reliable APIs for data-driven applications.
- Stay up-to-date with machine learning trends, libraries, and algorithms, and apply them appropriately to develop solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, presenting technical concepts in an accessible manner to diverse audiences.
- Continuously refine and improve models, tools, and frameworks used in the machine learning ecosystem, actively contributing to a culture of innovation and quality.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise presentations and reports.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field (Master's/Ph.D. is a plus).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning and operations, data science, or a related area, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects in at-least at least one cloud platform.
- Deep understanding of common machine learning algorithms and frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Strong programming skills in Python is a must. R or other relevant languages would be a plus.
- Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines for ML deployments is desirable.
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision (CV) techniques is essential for the operationalization and monitoring of complex deep neural network (DNN)-based models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is non-negotiable.
