Role and Responsibilities
- Act as SPOC for the solutions/ applications being developed interacting with the client.
- Participate in scoping, estimating efforts, etc.
- Collaborate in coming up with milestone plans, key deliverables, assumptions, commercials, and dependencies.
- Collaborate and develop a WMS strategy that encompasses the goals of the client.
- Drive solution architecture, design, and maintain efficient, reusable, and customizations.
- Make critical technical decisions to meet client expectations.
- Define best practices and standards.
- Define the code review process for the team to follow and perform code reviews for customizations.
- Ensure that the team maintains a high level of technical competence.
- Identify business problems and come up with ideas to build solutions and frameworks to offer to various clients and monetize.
- Generate and execute skill-building plans.
- Assist in hiring the right talent for the organization.
- Motivate and mentor team members.
- Contribute to white papers, blogs, and case studies.
- Participate in Pres-Sales activities - define end-to-end solution architecture covering technical, deployment architectures, and non-functional & performance aspects and driving proposals)
- Participate in Practice-related activities - develop POC, accelerators development, evaluate tools/framework/platform, and contribute to the marketing collaterals.
- Implement Manhattan WMS modules and configure them to support various warehouse processes such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
Skills and Experience
- 12+ years of experience in WMS (like Manhattan WMS) and Java / J2EE, JavaScript, Velocity.
- Expertise in Manhattan WMS is mandatory, along with its integration with other systems like ERP/MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/ProShip. Any knowledge of Manhattan Active & Proactive tool is an added advantage.
- Experience in the Retail – E-commerce domain is Mandatory.
- Customize the WMS to accommodate specific business rules, workflows, and integrations with other systems.
- Strong knowledge of WMS inbound/outbound processes, and web services (REST & SOAP).
- Hands-on with designing medium to large enterprise applications along with code refactoring and performance tuning of application.
- Thorough with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, Rabbit MQ, JMS etc.) with good exposure to Authentication, Authorization, SSO using JWT, OAuth, SAML is required.
- Expertise in implementing Test-Driven Development, Domain-Driven Design, and clean code principles.
- Should have client-facing experience and have worked in matrix organization and onsite-offshore models.
- Experience in using estimation techniques like (Use-case, FP, and Story points).
- Experience in creating presentations and demos for customers and the internal management team.
- Experience in Agile execution methodology is mandatory.
- Must have excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
