The Challenge

Especially for fashion and apparel retailers, mistakes in product data can significantly lower conversion rates. Tight deadlines, large SKU volumes, cross-team dependencies, and changing business priorities all contribute to the degradation of data quality.
Online commerce represented 43% of total sales for our client, a multinational apparel retailer. One of their biggest challenges was maintaining product data quality across their extensive e-commerce platform.
The company launched hundreds of products every week across 23 countries, and had difficulty ensuring accurate product attributes, clean data, and smooth campaign execution.
They also had numerous integrated systems such as product information management (PIM), content management, digital merchandising, localization, and campaign tools that added another layer of complexity to the production of clean product data.

We assembled a dedicated team of specialists across quality assurance (QA), product content, and campaign operations to address the client’s data quality and campaign execution challenges.
Our team began with a review of existing documentation, workflows, and system configurations in the client’s Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform. The review produced valuable data on the client’s product attributes, Product Detail Page (PDP) dependencies, regional variations, and merchandising processes, later used to build validation processes.
Our solution focused on creating validation processes that could support both North American and international operations. Our team executed systematic validation of PDP attributes, images, variants, and pricing while creating and validating promotions within SFCC to support seasonal and regional business needs. Structured reporting with improved visibility and standardized formatting enabled better decision-making across teams.
