Role and Responsibilities
- Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
- Gather data from various disparate sources, which may include relational database management systems (RDBMS), Web APIs, or any other customized system.
- Apply analytical thinking to translate data into informative visuals and reports.
- Implement row-level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
- Organize large datasets to extract actionable insights. Find innovative ways to integrate datasets.
- Capture reporting requirements from various partners, architect the solution/report, understand/analyze the source data, and deliver the reports in a timely manner.
- Craft intuitive and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI for data-driven decisions.
- Conduct performance monitoring, fine-tuning, and optimization of dashboards
- Publish and share dashboards and schedule data refreshes.
- Connect multiple data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
Skills and Experience
- Must have knowledge and skills in secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure and SQL, Oracle, and Tableau.
- Extensive experience with M and DAX functions.
- Must have strong Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts.
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
- Good understanding of Power BI user and group security configuration.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and Power Apps is a plus.
- Understand the fundamentals of data preparation/data modeling necessary for visualization.
