Description
GSPANN seeks seasoned DevOps Engineers to join our team in Pune. As we march ahead on a tremendous growth trajectory, we seek passionate and talented professionals to join our growing family.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Assist in interpreting DevOps product descriptions and designing and defining the solutions.
  • Work with architecture to craft technical designs and drive the evolution of our DevOps Architecture.
  • Program original tools, enhancements to existing tools and pipelines, and new services in Python, Java, and Groovy.
  • Perform peer code review.
  • Identify automation and self-service opportunities.
  • Continuously monitor the health of CI/CD tools and takes corrective action on issues identified.
  • Respond to trouble reports regarding CI/CD tooling and investigates and corrects issues.
  • Respond to requests for assistance triaging custom and 3rd  party-application environments.
  • Investigate pipeline and build failures, identify root cause, and correct any issues.
  • Support Production Support in the use of release and other tooling.
  • Research, design, and implement new technologies within CI/CD and as standalone applications.
  • Collaborate with feature developers to onboard/integrate applications according to client’s best practices.
  • Support the development team delivery process through the software development lifecycle (SDLC) up to handoff to production support teams.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to provision and deprovision capacity.
  • Lead and participate in major updates supporting new requirements and maintaining systems.
  • Work on many phases of a project or entire projects of high complexity.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and system documentation.
  • Contribute to and enforce best practices.
  • Participate in establishing strategies and standards.
  • Perform systems resource optimization activities.
  • Lead and participate in the implementation of resource management and monitoring methods, tools, and thresholds.
  • Support resolution of production incidents.
  • Provide work breakdown planning and estimation.
  • Anticipate risks and provide contingency solutions and timelines.
  • Suggest process improvements and best practices.
  • Measurably improve processes and best practices to achieve goals.
  • Interact with business users, and/or functional peer groups and managers.
  • Work with contract resources, providing guidance and assessing the quality of work.
  • Actively share knowledge (technical and professional) through shared resources and informal teachings.
  • Inspire teamwork and guide the team members in task completion.
  • Mentor, cross train co-workers within the area of expertise.
  • Self-direct and provide direction for others.
  • Achieve team consent and buy-in.
Skills and Experience
  • 4 years of relevant DevOps experience.
  • Bachelors or advanced degree in computer science or related field.
  • Mandatory Docker and Kubernetes stack expertise.
  • Experience using Helm/Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
  • Hands-on with Jenkins and Jenkins Pipeline.
  • Prior programming expertise in Groovy, Python, Shell, and/or Java is desirable.
  • Expertise in Maven, GitHub, Node/npm is necessary.
  • Good knowledge of interpreting Java stack trace and Node error logs.
