Role and Responsibilities
- Produce quality, on-budget, and on-schedule solutions on projects.
- Creatively solve complex problems.
- Conduct development on the SFCC platform using a multi-site SFRA architecture.
- Create pixel-perfect representations across browser types of design files delivered in Sketch or Photoshop.
- Manage continuous frontend performance optimization.
- Contribute to internal initiatives like improving the development processes.
- Plan, design, build, and review content-managed, usable, and accessible, and standards-compliant websites.
- Participate in frontend web development project life cycle from pitch/prototyping through definition and design to build, integration, QA, and delivery.
- Assist producers/project managers with effort estimation, timeline planning, and project requirement gathering.
- Inculcate a culture of innovation and high quality in the teams.
- Influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively with the leadership.
- Motivate, mentor, and encourage multi-tasking within the team.
- Work in a fast-paced development environment - interact with product owners, business analysts, testers, and developers.
- Design overall solutions and individual applications.
- Contribute toward excellence in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Manage team concerns in the right way with guidance from the division head.
- Identify team members’ capabilities and utilize them to the organization's advantage.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in developing business solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware).
- Expertise in SFRA is mandatory.
- Thorough with HTML5, CSS3, object-oriented JavaScript, and jQuery is a must.
- Hands-on with CSS preprocessors like Sass CSS and LESS.
- Expertise in document-object model (DOM).
- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Extensive experience in creating responsive web applications.
- Knowledge of presentation, web, business, and data access layers and their interactions. Experience working with highly trafficked, scalable web applications.
- Demonstrable understanding of all phases of the software development cycle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication designs. Able to write clear designs and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
- Creating tools that improve site interaction regardless of creating users.
- Significant experience creating accessible web components.
- Clear understanding of modular CSS development, such as BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS, and Atomic Design, and enough experience to articulate the differences between these methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of accessibility best practices, WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, and ARIA.
- Familiarity with ES6 and JavaScript Frameworks like Angular, React, and Vue.
