I’ll be joining four events across the UK this month, from London to Berkhamsted, and I’m looking forward to meeting new people, catching up with familiar faces, and sharing some interesting conversations along the way.

Each event touches on something my clients and partners are thinking about right now. So rather than just attending, I’m going in with questions, looking to hear what leaders are doing, what’s working, and where they are still facing challenges.

Four Events. Four Stops. Here’s my itinerary:

1. 9th September | Managed Services Summit, London

Managed services are changing fast. Gartner expects 30% of enterprises to automate more than half of their network activities in 2026. AI, automation, cybersecurity, cloud, and Microsoft Copilot are all reshaping what managed service providers can offer, how they deliver it, and ultimately, how they price it.

That makes this a particularly interesting time to talk to MSP, MSSP, VAR, and systems integration leaders.

I’ll be at the Managed Services Summit to hear how leaders are thinking about AI-led service models, where they’re seeing real productivity gains, and what they expect from technology partners as these models evolve.

At GSPANN, our Managed Services and Operations practice focuses on reliability engineering across complex, multi-platform environments, from monitoring and incident management to root cause analysis and health reporting.

If managed services or AI-led operations are on your agenda, let’s connect in London.

The AI Pilot Era Is Over. The AI Harness Era Is Now

2. 17th September | Autonomous 26, London

The conversation around AI is increasingly becoming a conversation about data architecture.

Agents can only be as good as the data they work with. That means data quality, observability, governance, and control are moving much closer to the centre of the AI conversation.

That’s what makes Autonomous 26, hosted by Acceldata, particularly interesting to me.

I’m looking forward to hearing from data and technology leaders about how they’re rethinking their architecture for the agentic era, especially as enterprises move from experimentation to real-world AI workloads.

At GSPANN, this is an area we spend a lot of time in. Our data engineering and AI enablement work focuses on making enterprise data more reliable and ready for AI, including through Nitrate, our AI data observability platform.

If data readiness is part of your AI roadmap, I’d love to compare notes.

3. 22nd September | Amplify: Agentic Commerce Live, London

And then we move firmly into retail.

Amplify: Agentic Commerce Live is bringing together senior retail and commerce leaders at Abbey Road Studios to talk about something that is moving quickly from theory to reality: agentic commerce.

I’m particularly interested in the conversations around content.

Your best-converting traffic may now be arriving from something that cannot read your website. Adobe found AI-referred traffic to US retail sites grew 393% year over year in Q1 2026, and that by March 2026 it converted 42% better than paid search and email.

What happens when AI agents become part of the discovery and buying journey? How do brands maintain control over what those agents see and share? And what needs to change underneath the surface to make products truly discoverable by machines?

These aren’t theoretical questions anymore. They’re coming up in conversations with retail leaders today.

At GSPANN, we work with retailers across digital commerce and product experience, helping them build commerce ecosystems where product data, content, and experiences are ready for both human shoppers and AI agents.

A global baking leader automated product copy across multiple brands with ContentHubGPT, tuned for SEO, AEO, and GEO, with compliance checks built into the generation step. On a Salsify build we took product time to market down to two hours and cut manual content effort by 70%.

4. 30th Sept – 1st Oct | Retail CIO Connect, Berkhamsted

I’ll close out the month at Retail CIO Connect in Berkhamsted, where GSPANN is a sponsor.

This one is particularly relevant because the conversation has moved beyond “What can AI do?”

If you are being asked to prove AI value too, you are in a large and awkward group. CIO.com State of the CIO 2026 research found that 47% of IT leaders have established formal metrics for AI success, with another 34% intending to inside the year.

AI ROI, legacy modernization, retail experience, cybersecurity, and the next generation of CIO priorities are all on the agenda.

I’m looking forward to the one-to-one conversations and closed-door discussions, particularly hearing how retail technology leaders are approaching the gap between AI experimentation and measurable business outcomes.

At GSPANN, we’re having these conversations every day with retail leaders, across AI agents, governance, data, commerce, and modernization.

If you’re attending Retail CIO Connect, let’s find some time to talk.
